Beach Heroes Student Art Exhibition
Held in the church’s Fellowship Hall, the exhibit features artwork created by local elementary students from the Galveston Independent School District (GISD). Students are asked to draw ways in which birds, turtles and ocean wildlife in the Gulf can be protected.

About the event
Held in the church’s Fellowship Hall, the exhibit will feature artwork created by local elementary students from the Galveston Independent School District (GISD). Students will be asked to draw ways in which birds, turtles and ocean wildlife in the Gulf can be protected.
The artwork will be judged with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners from each school. All art work is framed and hung.
In past years, over four hundred pieces of artwork have been produced. The Galveston Bay Master Naturalists, Texas Sea Grant, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension sponsor the Beach Hero program.
