First Presbyterian Church, Galveston

Outreach Grant Fund Ministry

2012 Grant application information coming soon!

As an act of stewardship, the First Presbyterian Church has created an Outreach Fund using interest earned from Trust Funds.

The grants which may be given to qualified applicants are for:

  • Support for long-term projects that strive to respond to basic life needs of those who reside in Galveston County

  • Projects that address gaps in social services not provided by other Galveston County agencies.

The Outreach Fund awards between $35,000 and $50,000 annually, for 6 to 15 small grants, usually not exceeding $5,000. each.

The Outreach Fund Ministry, a sub-committee of the Mission Ministry of First Presbyterian Church, Galveston, receives, reviews and makes recommendations on qualified proposals.  Members of our church are involved in many community organizations; significant preference will be given to allocations where members of our church also donate their personal time, effort, and resources.
