As an act of stewardship, the
First Presbyterian Church has created an Outreach Fund using interest earned
from Trust Funds. Grants for the development and support of innovative and
inspiring outreach programs are awarded to qualified applicants. The Outreach Fund
awards between
$35,000 and $50,000 annually, for 6 to 15 small grants, usually not exceeding
$5,000. each.
An Outreach Fund Ministry, a sub-committee of the Mission
Ministry of First Presbyterian Church, Galveston, receives, reviews and
makes recommendations on qualified proposals. Members of our church are involved in
many community organizations; priority is given to proposals from these
organizations.
